CapyKids for teachers

Run your classroom from your phone — attendance, daily reports, and parent messages in one place.

Signing in

Your daycare admin creates your staff account and sends an invite by email. Accept the invite, set a password, and sign in to the CapyKids app with your work email. Your role determines which classrooms and tools you can see.

Taking attendance

Attendance keeps parents informed and gives admins an accurate roster for the day. You can record it two ways:

  • QR check-in — families scan the classroom code at drop-off and pick-up.
  • Manual check-in — tap a child to mark them checked in, checked out, or absent.

Parents see status changes right away, so a quick check-in at the door keeps everyone in sync.

Writing daily reports

Daily reports are how families follow their child’s day. Log moments as they happen rather than saving them all for the end of the day:

  • Meals and snacks
  • Naps — start and end times
  • Activities and learning notes
  • Photos from the classroom

Check photo consent before sharing

Only children whose families have granted photo consent should appear in shared photos. When in doubt, leave a child out of the frame — the app hides photos for children without consent, but it’s best to be mindful at capture time too.

Messaging families

Reach parents through in-app messaging for reminders, questions, or a heads-up about the day. Everything stays inside CapyKids, so you’re never handing out a personal number.

On the go

The teacher experience is designed for a phone in a busy classroom — quick taps, big touch targets, and updates that sync instantly to parents. Turn on notifications to catch new messages from families without checking the app constantly.
